Prof. Monika Chaudhary has a background in Economics and Finance. She has done Masters
in Economics from University of Rajasthan and MBA in Finance from MDS Univeristy
Ajmer. She is Ph.D in International Trade and Finance from University of Rajasthan.
She is a National Scholarship holder and was selected for Rajasthan State Administrative
Services. She has presented research papers in National and International conferences
and has won awards. She has worked in the area of Exchange Rate Forecasting and
Public Expenditure on Health and Education. She has done Corporate Consultancy in
the areas of Capital Restructuring. She has published various articles in magazines
and Journals. She has organised National level Conferences and has participated
in many. She has nine years of experience in Management Teaching and
consultancy.

Santosh Kumar

Prof. Santosh Kumar specializes in hospital management. After completing his Postgraduate
Diploma course at IIHMR, he did M.Phil and PhD in Healthcare Quality from Birla
Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He has worked with various consulting
organizations and hospitals. His main areas of interest include Healthcare Quality,
Health Systems Planning and Project Management and MIS.

Rahul Ghai

Prof. Rahul Ghai completed his M.Phil in modern history from Jawahar Lal Nehru
University, Delhi he joined URMUL Trust, which gave him opportunity to work
closely with rural communities in western Rajasthan to address issues of food,
fodder and water security. He has conducted and published field researches on
desert communities and issues of drought, disaster mitigation and rural
livelihoods. Rahul has been consultant to Oxfam GB, Action Aid, Plan
International, Tearfund, Christian Aid, SIDA, SURE, UNNATI for strategic
planning, impact evaluation of integrated rural development and livelihood
programmes in India. He has contributed to designing and teaching courses on
rural development and social management with IGNOU and Gujarat Central
University. Rahul has written on issues of livelihoods, culture and development
in leading newspapers, magazines and development journals. His most recent
publications include two long essays on culture and development in Frederique
Marglin (eds) Interrogating Development: insights from the margins published by
Oxford University Press. |

B. S. Singh

Prof. B. S. Singh is a demographer and monitoring & evaluation specialist. He
obtained Ph.D in Population Studies and Certificate Course in Population Studies
(CPS) from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. He has
completed Certificate Course in Planning and Management Information Systems from
Management Sciences for Health (MSH), Boston, Massachusetts, United states of
America. Prior joining the institute, he worked as Deputy General Manager
(Research & Evaluation) in State Innovations in Family Planning Services Project
Agency (SIFPSA), Lucknow, Assistant Director in MAMTA- Health Institute for
Mother & Child, New Delhi and Head-MIS & System in Deepak Foundation, Vadodara.
His areas of interest are program planning, monitoring & evaluation, health
survey research and project management. In addition to several research
publication, he has also published a book “ Methods for estimating demographic
parameters at sub-national level”

Neetu Purohit

Prof. Neetu Purohit is a Ph. D. in Psychology. Prior to joining IIHMR, she worked in
the area of elementary education (DIETs) as consultant with the University of Manchester,
UK. Since her joining IIHMR she has worked on several projects on health systems
and evaluation/ assessment of various health programmes. She has published/ presented
papers in journals and seminars. Her current research/teaching interests are child
nutrition, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, leadership and motivation. |

Sandeep Narula

Prof. S.Narula, a healthcare sales and marketing professional with result
oriented 23 yrs industry and 3.5 yrs of academic experience. Prof. S.Narula has
worked at industry level in distinguished pharmaceuticals companies like GSK,
Unichem, and Emcure in various capacities. His last industry assignment was with
Group Cheviot - General Manager (Project), responsible for business
diversification of the Group business. He was Country head for Zenaust Pty Ltd
(Australia) for brief period. Dr.S.Narula obtained his MBA & Ph.D degree from
R.A.Poddar Institute of Management. Before Joining IIHMR, has worked for 3.5 yrs
in M.M.University (Mullana).Spearheaded successfully BBA/MBA programs as a
Program Coordinator, was responsible for launching-Ace Club, Spectrum, Students
Cell at Department level and Educare,Support & Initiatives and Project Sarvodaya
at the University level.
Also launched Pre Summer training Orientation program for the Management
students and introduced various live projects for the students. Have published
few research articles on Brand and Career Management. |

Amlan Datta

Dr Amlan Datta is a physician and public health specialist. Following the MBBS
degree from Calcutta University he pursued and completed Masters in Community
Health and Ph D in Public Health (with Junior Research Fellowship of the UGC)
from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has served for more than ten
years with the Govt .of India & WHO as Surveillance Medical Officer in the
National Polio Surveillance Project and later as Medical Consultant with the
Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme.
He is a life member of the Indian Public Health Association. His areas of
research interest are operations & health systems research, primary health care,
quality issues in health care and health informatics. He is part of the research
team which develops proposals and undertakes health research projects for the
Institute. He has also been the course coordinator for Health Management
Information Systems and other courses in the PGDHM programme of this Institute.

Since last nine years he is working in development sectors like health, nutrition, community participation, engaging private sector, convergence and decentralized planning. He obtained hi PGDBA in Marketing from Institute for technology and management, Bangalore and after onward he did his PG Diploma in Hospital Administration from Indian Institute of Bioinformatic Center Noida. He also has undergone for specialized certificate course of District Development from TATA Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai it was sponsored by UNICEF under GOI-UN Join programme on convergence. He has multiple experiences of working with State Govt. Projects, business development & sales, NGO on PPP and social Franchising. |

Arindam Das

Prof.
Arindam Das is a demographer. After completing his post graduation in Economics
from Banaras Hindu University, he did his Masters and Ph.D in Population Studies
from International Institute for Population Sciences (Mumbai). Prior to joining
IIHMR, he has worked as a Programme Officer (HMIS) in Child in Need Institute, Calcutta.
Mr. Arindam Das has published several papers on demography in national journals.
In addition he has also presented number of papers in various national and international
conferences. Through out his career he obtained several awards and fellowship, namely,
Graduate student and merit scholarship, Government of India fellowship, junior and
senior research fellowship of the UGC and Chandrasekharan Gold medal at IIPS for
securing first position in MPS. His current research and teaching interests are
in Reproductive and Child Health, Rural Development and Tribal Development. |

Alok Mathur

Prof. Alok Mathur has professional background of research, evaluation, program management
and documentation in various innovative educational and health projects. He has
done his Ph.D in commerce, Masters in economic administration, MBA in human resource
development and Bachelors in journalism and mass communication. He has many international
and national publications to his credit. He developed and managed HIV prevention,
care and support demonstration project Saksham addressing rural traditional female
sex workers with the approach of empowerment. He has the credit of initiating first
two sex workers collective through ICHAP and first block level Prevention of Parent
to Child Transmission Centre through unicef in Rajasthan. His current areas of interest
are HIV & AIDS, rural development, communication and capacity building of NGOs. |
