The main role
of the committee is to review the research proposal and grants from ethics
perspectives of research on human subjects. Keeping in view the request
of external organizations, the role of ICERR is expanded for reviewing the external
research studies / projects as many such requests were received.The committee will
use discretion to forward the case for approval. A progress report will be kept
from every project that has been accepted. Process fee Rs 50, 000/- will be charged
from external agencies, if the committee decide to review the external research
studies/ projects. The committee will follow the ICMR's
Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research on Human Subjects.
