Founded in 1984 in Jaipur, the Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) (formerly
known as Indian Institute of Health Management Research) has made phenomenal contributions
to both research and education in the area of management of health services achieving
a pride of place in health management, planning and research at the national and
international levels.
The role of the Institute is being increasingly realised and appreciated in developing
health management as an important discipline for improving the efficiency, effectiveness
and quality of health care. The Institute has consolidated its focus on research
in health policy and programmes. Being a WHO Collaborating Centre and recognised
as an Institute of Excellence, the Institute has been able to promote research in
policy development and programme evaluation. We have extended our scope of work
to several states. We are now working in most of the major states in India. |
