Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management (PGDPM) |
The Institute offers a two-year full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical
Management. It is a flagship educational program aiming at developing trained
professional managers with requisite skills in planning and operating management
techniques; diagnosing and solving management problems; and acquiring consultancy
skills, with a view to preparing them to manage pharmaceutical industries.
As the program has set high standards of management education in the pharmaceutical
management sector, it has attained the status of a premier program in the
country. Our students go for training and placement to a large number of Pharmaceutical organizations.
The program, with an intake capacity
of 60 seats, is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

FIRST YEAR
During the first year, the program aims at cultivating multi-disciplinary skills
of management principles, communication and pharmaceutical market. The students
will be offered Introductory Courses and Core Courses.

Summer training is an integral part of the program. The students are required to
complete summer training in various pharmaceutical organizations throughout the country and abroad for hands-on
training. They are also assessed on the basis of their performance during this period. |

The student will be required to complete a satisfactory thesis in his/her area of
interest. The thesis will include a critical review of literature pertaining to
the
specific area of interest, data collection and analysis on the selected problem
besides other components of the thesis. The thesis must be completed in the second
year. The students are also assessed on the basis of their performance during this
period. |
